今日は、先週末に観光した板門店について、書いてみたいと思います。

I went to Panmunjom last weekend, so I report about there.

板門店は、北朝鮮との国境にあり、1953年に朝鮮戦争の休戦調定が結ばれた場所です。

板門店を含む国境付近は一般客の立ち入りが禁止されており、ツアーでしか行くことのできない大変貴重な場所です。また、韓国人は亡命の危険性があるため完全に立ち入りが禁止されているとのことです。

Panmunjom locates on the border between North and South Korea. In 1953, a cease‐fire agreement of Korean war was adopted at Panmunjom. It is prohibited to go the border without official tour. All Korean cannot go there because of possibility to go the North.

土曜の朝、8時半にソウル市内に集合し、バスで出発です。日本人が20人ほど、その他外国人が25人ほど乗っていました。日本語と英語のガイドが1人ずつ乗っていました。ただ、日本語ガイドはだいぶカタコトでした…

I go to the hotel in central Seoul at 8:30 on Saturday, and then I rode a tour bus. There were 20 Japanese, 25 other foreign people, Japanese guide, and English guide.

ソウル市内は、いたるところに警察車両が待機していて、大渋滞でした。最近は、土曜夜にパククネ大統領への抗議デモが開かれていて、その対応だそうです。テレビニュースもずっと大統領問題についてやっています。みんな彼女にやめてほしいと思っているそうです。

In Seoul a lot of Police buses were waited to deal with the prospect to Park Geun-hye, the Korean president. When I watch TV, problem about her was always broadcasted. Everyone wants her to quit the President.

バスはソウル市内を出て、板門店に進んでいきます。ソウルから板門店、直線距離で50kmしかありません。また、高速沿いにはフェンスが設置されており、北朝鮮からの侵入に備えていました。いかに韓国がまだ「戦時中」かが分かる場面でした。

There is only 50km between Seoul and Panmunjom. Fence is setted along the highway to prepare invaging the North. I really understood that Korea is still "under the war".

板門店近くは、JSA (Joint Security Area) となっており、国連軍が中心となり統治されています。2回のパスポートチェックの後、国連軍のバスに乗り換えて、板門店に向かいます。このとき、ジーパンのようなアメリカ的な服を着ていくと、北朝鮮を刺激する恐れがあるので禁止されています。

When arriving JSA (Joint Security Area), near Panmunjom, we checked the passport twice, and transffered the bus, and then go to Panmunjom. We are banned to wear American casual clothes in order not to excite the North.

いよいよ板門店に到着しました。安全のため、15分程度しか留まることができませんでした。国境上に位置している小屋に入りました。テーブルの真ん中が国境線です。なので、一時的ですが北朝鮮に入国したことになります。写真は、セキュリティーのため北朝鮮側しか撮れませんでした。

In Panmunjom, we stayed only 15 min. because of protecting our safety. The blue house locates ON the border. It across the table, so that I could go the North. I could took pictures only in front of North because of the security.
